Hey this is Tyler at First Wave PR! I just wanted to say thank you to all the amazing crowdfunders we’ve worked with over the years. I wanted to write this post about our PR team reviews on different crowdfunding PR strategies.

As you may know, First Wave PR manages the PR strategies behind some of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. But what you may not know is the work the goes on behind the scenes to make those crowdfunding projects truly successful. Hint: its a lot of work on our end!

First Wave PR reviews any crowdfunding project according to three main principles. Uniqueness, Trust, and Funding Potential. We like to make sure all three are on track before we start promoting your project with our proven PR strategies.

Here are the 3 main questions that our First Wave PR team asked themselves whenever they take on a new crowdfunding project:

  1. Is their crowdfunding idea or project unique in some way?
  2. Does the crowdfunding project have a reputable team?
  3. Do they offer rewards or perks that can get it funded?

Most projects we work with have these elements, but many do not know how to properly display them. That’s why the PR team at First Wave PR helps you from start to finish to craft a perfect PR strategy. If you don’t have the answers to these 3 questions above don’t worry! We know how to make your crowdfunding project standout and get funded.

Crowdfunding Project Uniqueness: When we look at the uniqueness of the project we are looking at not just the idea or product, but the story behind it. Fist Wave PR uses story-based PR outreach. That means we don’t just shout to the heavens for people to come give you money. Instead, we actually craft a compelling story that gets peoples attention and piques their interest.

Crowdfunding Trust: We look at the basics to determine if a project will be perceived as trustworthy by the crowdfunding community. We don’t want to work with any crowdfunding project that could damage our reputation with the crowdfunding community or crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo platforms. We check to make sure you aren’t promoting any prohibited items. We also make sure that you are who you say you are on the crowdfunding project page (or at least that the company used on the crowdfunding page is a real company or startup).

Funding Potential: One of the most important aspects (if not the most important) is if the crowdfunding project we’re working with has funding potential. We like to think big when it comes to crowdfunding, but if your crowdfunding goal is 100 billion dollars, then you may need to rethink your strategy. We’ve worked with multiple 100K+ crowdfunding projects, so we know how to hit the big numbers. But we always make sure that we can hit our crowdfunding goals and we do not take on projects unless we are confident the funding will be secured. That makes it a win-win for both of us if we decide to work together!

Raising money for your crowdfunding project is a simple formula of XYZ. You need to get X amount of visibility which converts to Y amount of backers who donate Z amount of funding per backer. The main element that you can control is X, the visibility. First Wave PR uses a proven process to maximize your press coverage, visibility, and potential funding. My team and I manage everything to make sure your project is a success. That you know what is possible with us, its time to talk about what is required from you. Our team can help you get started.

I hope you enjoyed this deeper explanation of what our PR marketing team is looking for and what First Wave PR reviews when taking on a new crowdfunding project on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
